Coordinates the activities of the Hatching Department as specified by hatchery management by performing the following duties personally or through retraining procedures.
Reviews production schedule to ascertain data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to organize department operations.
Organizes egg traying, setting, and transfer operations following standards set by management establishing priorities and sequences for production process.
Coordinates operational activities to ensure production and quality of product meets specifications.
Inspects traying, transfer, incubating and hatching machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Reviews standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with standards.
Retrains if necessary.
Records all data pertaining to immediate duty.
Monitor all machine levels and functions, make minor adjustments as necessary.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, and memos. Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as totals, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
