Provide leadership, direction and execution of all quality and food safety functions at the plant level to support Perdue’s statement of Quality. To ensure all products produced meet or exceed all customer, regulatory and company requirements. Directs the plant Quality Assurance department in selecting, developing, and motivating Quality Assurance team members to achieve company quality and food safety goals.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
BS Degree or higher in the area of swine, meat, or food science with a minimum of 5 years of QA experience in Food or swine.
0-3 years of experience. Good analytical and communication (both oral and written) skills. May require some travel.
Good analytical and communication (both oral and written) skills. Experience in swine required. Knowledge of swine/Food processing principles; Understanding of management principles and team concepts. General knowledge of plant functions – production, maintenance; warehouse; shipping and sanitation.
