Summary

The Techincal Lead (Live Operations Team) role is a key role that will work on Strategic Enterprise Roadmap projects, MTech Protein support and enhancements, MTech AXIS business intelligence support and enhancements, and support of other systems in the Live Operations area. This person is responsible to assist in development of overall design and execution of Live Operations business processes for flock management from chick to harvest, including feed and live haul management.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Understand business goals and requirements associated with IT strategic roadmap
  2. Research and propose MTech system solutions to realize business goals for strategic projects in subject area
  3. Responsible to determine system solutions to achieve goals of the IT strategic roadmap in subject area
  4. Responsible to formulate and deliver an enterprise level functional design for MTech and reporting systems in respective area
  5. Participate in Pre-Planning, Blueprinting, Realization, Final Preparation and Go-Live/Support phases of IT Strategic Roadmap projects assigned.
  6. Assist and evaluate business requirements to hypothesize MTech centric business solutions
  7. Research solutions and develop beta or pilot test configuration of proposed solutions
  8. Demonstrate beta or pilot test configurations to IT and/or business personnel to influence final design selection
  9. Complete MTech configuration to meet the design criteria for strategic projects in respective area
  10. Evaluate system solution design proposals from other Perdue personnel and contractors
  11. Assist and support the project teams to complete projects successfully
  12. Provide advanced level MTech system configuration and report development training to internal resources
  13. Responsible to provide Level 1 & 2 system maintenance support for subject area.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or in the absence of a degree, related work experience may be considered.

Experience Requirements

  • 8 – 10 years experience in an Information Technology systems analysis function, working with end-users to translate business requirements into system functional specifications. Guide the technical team on enhancements or reporting requirements and establish testing procedures
  • M-Tech business process and configuration experience in the following specific module area: Flock management, Flock Accounting and Live Haul Optimization
  • Minimum of two, full lifecycle project implementations of M-Tech systems
  • Understanding of M-Tech system integration with Perdue SAP business processes including: SAP FI/CO – Finance and Control
  • Project Management experience required for M-Tech system enhancements
  • Experience in defining and implementing M-Tech solutions for live operations including flock management, feed management and flock accounting business processes
  • Experienced in Master Data requirements for M-Tech system
  • Experienced in Reporting and Analytics for M-Tech system
  • Experienced in Security requirements for M-Tech system
  • Experienced in Organizational Change Management requirements for M-Tech systems, including creation and delivery of training materials
  • Strong systems solution and systems architecture skills
  • Deep understanding of accounting processes for manufacturing companies
  • Strong business and technical leadership and facilitation skills
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite including creation of Excel spreadsheets, and MS Power Point presentations
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Support for other niche and legacy applications as assigned.

Experience Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project Server and Portfolio Toolset
  • Experienced in Microsoft Project including creation of resourced project schedules with understanding of critical path planning is a plus.
