This position is dedicated to developing and implementing trade programs designed to grow the Company’s presence within varied channels including Supermarket, Supercenter, and Warehouse Clubs for RTC (Ready To Cook) categories. Profit and sales growth are key accountabilities. This position will have particular focus on nurturing and developing long term customer relationships necessary to support the Company’s strategic retail growth goals in RTC categories and to ensure that the Company meets and exceeds the expectations of the customer and consumer.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Acts as primary contact for Marketing for the RTC Category for CPG product into varied channels: Supermarket, Supercenter and Warehouse Club channels. Assists in communication of Marketing goals and strategies. Works with Sales to develop tactics based on marketing strategies and monitor implementation of those tactics to ensure proper execution resulting in increased retail brand sales.
  2. Identifies and assists sales in filling distribution gaps and ensure achievement of effective distribution targets.
  3. Provides trade marketing support to Sales by evaluation/recommendation of features, TPR’s and account specific programs that result in increased sales and profits.
  4. Works with Sales, Marketing and Demand Planning to finalize volume and mix for RTC products by channel prior to the start of the fiscal year. Ensures retail sales plans of all RTC value added products are met for volume and revenue.
  5. Assists RTC Consumer Marketing on new products evaluation and launch and other initiatives on RTC products.
  6. Assists in presentation content at Sales and Marketing staff meetings, annual Sales meeting and broker management meetings. Responsible to create and assist in presenting fact-based presentations to customers that gain new item authorizations, add assortment, and improve promotional strategies. Lead the effort in presenting category management reviews, assortment reviews, and other customer updates. Assists in the development of clear and concise communication to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals.
  7. Manage customer loyalty programs, customer digital promotional programs, and other customer shopper marketing activities for assigned accounts. Provides value in RTC forecast meetings by taking a leadership role representing sales.
  8. Assists Senior Director RTC Trade Marketing with management of fresh RTC CPG product availability, RTC frozen inventory and cleaning excess products (fresh and frozen).

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors degree in the areas of Sales, marketing or Business Administration.

Experience Requirements

  • 12 - 14 years related work experience.
  • Requires strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.
  • Requires sales and marketing experience.
  • Must be computer proficient, e.g., knowledge in Essbase, Feature System, SDS, IRI, Freshlook and TPM
  • Able to develop strategy using category and financial information.
  • Must have prior supervisory/management experience including managing, recruiting and evaluating sales associates.
  • Must be able to communicat effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Must be able to travel to plant facilities, innovation center and market areas to include overnight travel.
  • Should anticipate spending 20% of their time in travel.

Experience Preferred

  • Management experience required preferable in the food or food sales areas.
