The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced inventory and sourcing analyst to join our finance team who can place orders and track inventory needs through our order fulfillment process. APDS delivers educational content on secure ruggedized tablets. There are several physical and technical components from various vendors that need to be sourced in order to deliver our tablets and service to correctional facilities. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that we are able to serve our jurisdictions and incarcerated learners.
As APDS is growing, we are looking for a strong team player who will roll up her/his sleeves and achieve the following outcomes:
1. Efficient and accurate sourcing and procurement of goods and services
2. Accurate tracking of inventory levels and reorder stock with all vendors with a 99.9% success rate.
3. Accurate reporting to all relevant departments within the organization


    • Work with sales, finance and implementation to determine inventory needs and appropriate lead times to fulfill hardware orders to departments of corrections.
    • Report weekly/monthly on inventory held at 3rd party vendor locations
    • Generate and track purchase requisitions, delivery and receipt at various vendor warehouse locations
    • Maintain Inventory reports – Tablets, cases and components, Knox licenses and other components.
    • Liaise with vendors to ensure physical Inventories are accurate with a goal of 99.9% success rate
    • Attend calls to review open orders and update order documentation as necessary.
    • Maintain spreadsheets or other ERP to track Parts Serial, Project and Order numbers associated with each piece of equipment ordered and sent to customers from date order issued to fulfillment.
    • Manage and administer the RMA process for all equipment swaps and returns from jurisdictions

Qualifications and Experience

    • 2+ years of experience in logistics provisioning infrastructures or inventory management with a track record of delivering business process improvements and efficiency gains year over year.
    •  At least 1 year of experience in inventory analysis
    • Experience in managing allowances, or organizing and accounting for inventories of equipment, piece parts, and or other warehoused items.
    • Experience using inventory control or management software.
    • Experience working with shipping logistics infrastructures, Government Bills of Lading, Commercial Bills of Lading, or other shipping manifests
    • Experience performing life cycle support functions related to the procurement, stocking, issuing and disposal of inventory material
    • Understanding of warehousing procedures, item identification, shipping documents and best practices in supply chain management
    • Self-starter and problem-solver: proactively identifies issues, rolls up sleeves, and manages to resolution
