Responsible for supporting Commodity Sales in Agribusiness focusing on food and industrial vegetable oil and product sales.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Makes sales calls and sells refined oil products to customers in assigned geographical area.
Sources, develops and qualifies new Refined Oil customers in assigned geographic region.
Provides customer support and services to expand sales volume with existing and new customers.
Works with senior management and Sales team to develop and support strategic plan initiatives.
Develops and builds strong relationships with key influencers in geographic region.
Shares knowledge and insights and provides recommended value-added solutions to meet customer requirements.
Assists in supply chain functions as it relates to domestic and tropical oils.
Represents AgriBusiness for industry functions within assigned geographic area.
Supports special projects as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Ag Economics, Business or a related field.
3 - 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the refined food industry or related fields. Understanding of sales and marketing concepts. Familiar with commodity markets and the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade). Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, Strong negotiating skills. Understanding of standard software applications. Demonstrates high degree of integrity and trust.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations. Able to move freely about farms and other agricultural areas. Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (-15 - 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db). Able to use standard office equipment to include telephone, computers, copiers etc. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Some overnight travel may be required. Must be comfortable in all types of food processing and industrial environments.
