Maintains, services and performs repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems.
We are seeking a candidate with heavy equipment experience. This position will be responsible for repairing loaders, excavators, forklifts, skid steers, etc.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reads, interprets and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets and safety policies.
Performs equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance troubleshooting and emergency breakdowns. Performs specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations. This equipment includes the following: loaders, excavators, forklifts, skid steers, belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyors, dust collection systems and bucket elevators.
Monitors performance of equipment and informs maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
Maintains log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards.
Cutting and welding to perform preventative and corrective machine repairs.
High School or equivalent
Advanced technical or equipment maintenance training (preferred)
2 - 4 years of related industrial work experience. Reading, writing, math and analytical skills are required. Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have diesel experience. Must have all personal tools at all times and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is active. Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), climbing vertical ladders, carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities.
