  • Responsible for all aspects of manure application for the SW Missouri farms (Monett and Pierce City, MO areas)
  • Work with each Farm Site Manager to develop and maintain a manure application plan with surrounding farmers to ensure continuity and contingencies with respect to crop and grazing rotations.
  • Take routine manure samples from each farm to confirm the nutrient analysis.
  • Maintain all Bio-security protocols in place at each farm and between farms.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible to apply and oversee all manure application on fields, and communicate with the landowner to ensure that they are satisfied with the product and process.
  • Work with farm maintenance to ensure all equipment is repaired and properly maintained.
  • Manage, keep, communicate, and report accurate application records on a daily basis to the Farm Site Manager.
  • Ensure that manure application is in compliance with Niman Ranch and all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • With time, work to develop and implement a manure management program that could evolve into a revenue source for the Sow Farms.
  • Any other duties as assigned, requested, or directed by management/supervisor related to manure management.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirements

  • Background and understanding of row crop farming and ranching practices.
  • Experience in large tractor and truck operation, mechanically inclined is a must.
  • Ability to problem-solve, be a critical thinker, goal-oriented, and a team player.
