Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC has an immediate opening for an Industrial Electromechanical Maintenance Tech at our facility on Zion Church Road, in Salisbury, Maryland.

The essential function of this position is to perform assigned electrical and mechanical work to include equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown, and equipment failure. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoot and repair electrical/mechanical breakdowns.
  • Design and document basic electric circuits, and specify parts.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures.
  • Rebuild equipment, gearboxes, pump systems, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at various heights, and in prevailing weather conditions.
  • Expected to be on a rotating on-call weekend schedule.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, further training or education is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support 24-hour production operations.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at various heights, and in prevailing weather conditions.
  • 2-5 years of related industrial electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Good knowledge of PLC's to be able to trouble shoot.
  • Have general knowlege of computer, operating and network systems.
  • Understand the basics of working around and using High Voltage equipment.
  • Understand the basics of microprocessor-based equipment, loop controllers, VFD etc.
  • Experience with gearbox systems, pump systems, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Understand electric power formulas and the National Electric Code.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience welding, Mig and Stick.
  • Must have a current valid state driver’s license.
  • Clear un-suspended 5 year motor vehicle record.
  • Must pass a DOT physical.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the Division facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
