Position Overview

This role will provide level 1 technical assistance in support of MOD’s instore technology and employees. IT Support Specialists work under limited supervision and are responsible for incident ownership and resolution.

This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MOD’s Point of Sale, online ordering, and instore technology. A strong desire to solve problems and work with internal customers are necessary characteristics for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Be a SME for instore technology
Troubleshoot store technical issues via phone with store employees
Create and execute support tickets by priority and distribute tickets to other members of the MOD I.T. team
Setup, support and maintain Support Center computers and hardware
Troubleshoot network and ISP connectivity issues
Ability to troubleshoot at local stores when needed
Continuously work to improve the IT incident and problem management processes
Working closely with IT peers, ensure needs and expectations of organizational stake holders, business partners, external customers, and third party organizations are met and/or exceeded.

Basic Qualifications:

1 years of technical experience with 1-year experience in helpdesk environment.
General understanding of internet technologies
Good understanding of desktop operating systems
Superb communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
Self-motivation and goal orientation
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, obtain results, and provide solutions for a broad range of technical challenges while maintaining composure and communicating clearly
Ability to learn and understand the functional and technical elements of MOD’s technology solutions
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and superior time management skills
Dependable and able to work a rotating on call schedule
Possess significant relationship building skills with a history of heavy interaction with executive management
Ability to independently work and problem solve in changing, ambiguous environment

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
