The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is:

To make on farm visits, to contract farms to assess and evaluate flock placement, development, nutritional, environmental conditions for all assigned farms while acting as a liaison between the producer and the company.


Describe below the major responsibilities of this position which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodations in order to

achieve the essential purpose of this position.

1. Travel daily on rock, wood shavings and blacktop in order to make contact farm visits to assess and evaluate flock placement, development, nutritional and environmental conditions.

2. Lift 75 lbs of feed, machinery and/or birds.

3. Reach 3 feet to the ground to catch turkeys.

4. Climb ladder 20 feet from the ground to check feed inventories.

5. Ability to travel from farm to farm.

Preferred Experience

The minimum Formal Education preferred to be considered for this position is (indicated level and years of education and, if a degree is

required, the major):

High School diploma required. Associates degree or Bachelors degree in agriculture.

Specialized or technical knowledge, credentials or licensing required for the position include:

Valid drivers license and good communication skills required.

The minimum number of Years and/or Months of Prior and Related experience preferred to be considered for this position is: 0 Years 0 Months.


Describe the decision-making authority of this position, the nature and extent of supervision available and the point at which higher approval is required. Flock supervisors make decisions on medication types and doses, day to day husbandry decisions. Decides if a producer is ready to take poults. Higher approval is needed if one veers from our growing program, has problems beyond their ability, or has extra ordinary problems with a producer.


This position spends 0 % of a normal work week supervising other Associates.

This position spends 5 % of a normal work week training and developing other Associates.

This position spends 15 % of a normal work week performing technical analyses and writing reports.

This position spends 80 % of a normal work week in production or maintenance-related activities.
